Smoking weed isn’t generally associated with people who are in the peak of health but some recent research suggests that the feeling of “runner’s high” is much closer to the feeling of actually being high.
Earlier this month, The Guardian reported on the neurobiological connection between the two sensations, citing an assistant professor of biology, Gregory Gerdeman, as suggesting that
“the natural euphoria that long-distance runners experience is likely not caused by endorphins, but by the brain’s endocannabinoid system.”
